연구 및 교육경력으로는 한국보건사회연구원, 국립창원대학교 등의 경력과 2016년, 미국 UNC at Chapel Hill 간호대학의 International Visiting Scholar 연구교수 파견 경력이 있음.
관심분야는 근거기반 간호이론 및 실무, 암생존자, 노인간호 및 만성질환자의 건강증진과 삶의 질로 이와 관련된 연구를 수행하고 있음.
